Item 4:  Who are your competitors?  How much do they sell?

Our competitors are other online party planning sites, as well as party stores, bulk party supply stores, and party planners.

There are not vast amounts of other party planning sites, but some of the more prolific ones include iParty.com and Party411.com.  iParty reports a revenue of $56.7 million in 2003, and an overall 9.5% revenue increase from their retail stores (iParty's 2004 Financial Report).  They do not yet report their finances specifically for their online store, on which they offer a variety of themed party supplies for a number of occasions such as birthdays, seasonal holidays, and milestones.

Retail party stores such as Party City are also major competitors.  Party City is the largest party goods chain in America, reporting $100.6 million in net sales for the first quarter of the fiscal 2006 ("Party City Corporation Announces Sales Results for Fiscal 2006 First Quarter").  They have over 500 retail stores and specialize chiefly in products related to the Halloween season (PartyCity.com: About Us).

Other competitors are online bulk party supply stores.  OrientalTrading.com has over 10,000 supplies available, and PartyPro.com has over 15,000 discount party supplies.  General stores such as Wal-Mart can also be considered minor competitors, since they also sell party supplies.
